A Dentist Friend Told Me How To Eliminate Tartar, Gingivitis And Whiten My Teeth In 4 Steps With This Homemade Recipe

Taking care of the mouth, teeth, and gums is of utmost importance. Proper oral hygiene can help prevent various dental problems, including tooth decay, gum disease, and the common bad breath.

The mouth is a window into what is going on inside the body, often acting as vantage point for catching the early signs of systemic disease. For instance, systemic conditions like diabetes or AIDS often manifest as mouth lesions or other oral problems. As a matter of fact, as reported by the Academy of General Dentistry, over 90% of all systemic diseases become apparent as oral problems.

Tartar is one of the most common oral problems these days. Any tartar that is formed above the gum line is extremely detrimental, as the bacteria it contains might damage the gums and eventually lead to gum disease. This plaque that accumulates on the teeth is much more than a threat to your dental health, though. In addition to causing gum disease and a wide range of additional dental problems, it affects the overall health, too. Mounting evidence suggests that bacteria build-up and inflammation in the mouth are associated with other problems, including dementia and heart attack.

According to a 2009 paper issued by the American Academy of Periodontology and The American Journal of Cardiology, there is a strong link between heart disease and gum disease. Its recommendations encourage cardiologists to ask their patients about their oral health. Periodontists are also encouraged to ask their patients about their heart health and family history of heart disease.

Tartar, also known as calculus, is typically removed with specific tools in the dentist`s office. The good news is that there is a way to address this issue without going to the dentists and spending a little fortune on a conventional removal. Check it out!

YOU WILL NEED:

  • 1 tbsp. baking soda
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ½ cup hydrogen peroxide
  • Warm water
  • Antiseptic mouthwash
  • Toothbrush

INSTRUCTIONS:

STEP #1

Take a cup and mix the baking soda and salt. When combined, moisten the toothbrush with lukewarm water and dab it into the dry mixture. Rub the teeth with the toothbrush, spit after a couple of seconds, and repeat. Do this for about five minutes.

STEP #2

Mix the hydrogen peroxide with half a cup of warm water and rinse the mouth with this solution. Spit and do the same, this time with cold water.

STEP #3

At this point, you need to rub the tartar from the teeth using floss. Do it carefully as you don’t want to damage the gums and cause irritations.

Experts recommend interlock two teeth with the floss and move it side to side in order to fully remove the tartar without any damage.

STEP #4

At this point, you should rinse the mouth with the antiseptic mouthwash. Doing it right and adhering to the steps above ensures that you will be left with cleaner teeth and no single trace of tartar.
